Job summary

Carilion Clinic’s 7M Medical Specialty Unit seeks an experienced Nursing Operations Manager to provide 24/7 leadership for a 12-bed inpatient unit in Roanoke, VA. You will oversee staffing, patient experience, quality metrics and collaboration with physicians, therapists, and care managers to ensure safe, compassionate care.

The role requires a BSN and at least two years of clinical nursing experience, with BLS/ACLS-PALS-NRP as applicable. Strong engagement and budgeting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of school of professional nursing. BSN required. For Non-Magnet Facilities - BSN is required within 18 months of hire/transfer.
• At least 2 years in a clinical nursing role.

Responsibilities

• Rotating 24-hour accountability and responsibility for a direct care nursing unit.
• Provide day-to-day leadership for safe, healthy environments and engagement of patients and staff.
• Plan and monitor budget and staffing to ensure optimal unit performance.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with medical staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
