ALIYA of Palos Park is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to assist the Director of Nursing in leading the nursing department with excellence and compassion. The ADON will manage daily operations, supervise staff, and ensure resident care meets regulatory standards.

The role involves coordinating services, participating in inspections, supporting staffing decisions, and mentoring staff to uphold high quality care and compliance within a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years nursing supervisory experience in long-term care or related healthcare setting.
• CPR certification maintained.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Commitment to resident rights and individualized care.

Responsibilities

• Assist DON in developing goals, policies, and procedures for nursing.
• Coordinate nursing services with other departments.
• Participate in inspections, audits, and QA initiatives.
• Support staffing decisions, onboarding, evaluations and performance.
• Ensure accurate staffing levels for RN, LPN, and CNA.
• Oversee infection control and regulatory compliance.
• Mentor nursing staff and promote professional growth.
• Attend care plan meetings and involvement in admissions/discharges.
• Support staff training and orientation.
• Uphold cleanliness, safety, and QAPI program.
