Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Nursing Administrator to provide senior clinical and operational leadership across evening, night, weekend and holiday shifts. The role supports the CNO, Nursing Directors, Nurse Managers and hospital leadership in delivering safe, efficient patient care while ensuring regulatory compliance and staff engagement.

Responsibilities include promoting Relationship Centered Care, leading quality and safety initiatives, and overseeing staffing, budgets and unit

Qualifications

• Education requirements: Bachelor of Science with a major in nursing required.
• Experience requirements: 3-5 years minimum clinical nursing experience with some Charge Nurse/supervisory experience preferred.
• Licensing: Licensed as a registered nurse with current New York State registration. BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Leads nursing practice under the Professional Practice Model and Care Delivery Model for patient experience.
• Demonstrates proficiency in Purposeful Hourly Rounding (PHR) and models expected behaviors.
• Oversees that rounding occurs on all patients on shift and communicates patient experience metrics to the care team.
• Collaborates with physicians and leadership to address patient concerns and guide service recovery as needed.
• Participates in quality, safety, and regulatory compliance initiatives; maintains documentation and contributes to continuous improvement.
• Performs as a clinical leader supporting staff development, governance, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
