Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Clinical Nurse for the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, NY. This full-time night-shift role offers the opportunity to provide safe, quality care to a designated patient group within a renowned academic medical system.

You will deliver patient care aligned with Relationship Centered Care, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and educate patients and families about their plans of care and transitions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; ADN acceptable if matriculated in a BSN program.
• Current knowledge of the nursing process for new graduates.
• RN license in New York State and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care using Relationship Centered Care model.
• Assess and evaluate patient care needs with critical thinking.
• Apply relevant assessment and intervention skills in nursing care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, and evaluate care plans.
• Prioritize patient care activities including teaching, rounds, and discharge planning.
• Educate patients and caregivers about the plan of care and transition in care.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team.
• Model Mount Sinai Relationship Centered Care in patient interactions.
• Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing.
