Job summary

(San Antonio North Nursing and Rehabilitation) LSSH San Antonio III, LLC seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing to support the Director of Nursing in supervising licensed and non-licensed staff around the clock. You will help plan and implement nursing services, policies, and procedures to ensure quality care and resident rights.

The role includes staffing, training, evaluations, daily rounds, safety oversight, and liaison with residents, families and physicians.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of nurse management experience in a long-term care setting.
• State Board of Nursing active and in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DON in planning, developing and supervising nursing staff.
• Assist in development and implementation of nursing services, objectives, policies and procedures.
• Recruit, hire and train nursing staff; conduct appraisals and address disciplinary actions.
• Act as back-up for DON, RN and LVN staff; provide direct resident care as needed.
• Oversee clinical operations including daily rounds and resident condition monitoring.
• Ensure resident safety and uphold resident rights; liaise with residents, families and physicians.
• Attend staff meetings and provide reports/recommendations to the DON.
• Support design, implementation and evaluation of nursing systems to ensure consistent care delivery.
