Job summary

Mercy Health in Lorain, OH is seeking a Nursing Manager for Inpatient Surgery. This role oversees 24-hour operations, coordinates clinical activities, and partners with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes through data-driven goals.

Qualifications include RN licensure, a BSN, and 3 years of leadership experience; BSN is required, MSN/Health Admin preferred. Certifications are encouraged to support high-reliability care and staff development.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state they are working or covered by compact.
• BSN is required; MSN or related master’s degree preferred.
• 3 years minimum experience as a professional nurse with leadership capabilities (required).
• 1 year experience in the appropriate specialty area (preferred).
• Prior management/supervisory experience (preferred).
• Certifications such as PALS/ACLS/NRP/TNCC/ENPC or related preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides daily operational oversight, management, and clinical support to the health care team.
• Serves as a professional role model, mentor, and clinical resource.
• Responsible for meeting targeted KPIs and improving unit-level outcomes.
• Implements strategic initiatives and supports the organization’s mission and vision.
