Newport Healthcare seeks a Nursing Manager to lead on-site nursing staff, ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and regulations, and coordinate with Medical Director and Psychiatry leadership. The ideal candidate has an RN license, at least two years of nursing experience, and at least one year of management or supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state you are applying for.
• Minimum of two years of prior nursing experience preferred.
• Minimum of one year management/supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between nursing team and Medical Director/Directory of Psychiatry.
• Delegate shift-specific responsibilities to maximize efficiency and accuracy in provision of nursing care.
• Perform two to four clinical shifts monthly and fill in for nurses who are on vacation or call out.
• Perform weekly chart audits and address missing or erroneous documentation.
• Review medication error reports and internal incident reports related to medications.
• Complete compliance-related nursing documentation and treatment plans when indicated.
• Compile and distribute reports as required.
• Liaise with local pharmacies regarding payment issues and communicate with admissions staff when issues arise.
• Perform phlebotomy when ordered by MD and coordinate with Quest for pickup.
• Uphold Newport Healthcare policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
