The Manager, Nursing plays a vital leadership role in shaping the quality, safety, and experience of care within a 24/7/365 facility. This position provides clinical, operational, and administrative leadership for nursing services and designated clinical support staff, ensuring patients receive compassionate, high-quality, patient-centered care that aligns with organizational policies, evidence-based practice, accreditation standards, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
As a key leader within the interdisciplinary team, the Nurse Manager inspires, guides, and develops nursing personnel while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, professional growth, and continuous improvement. Through strong communication and partnership with physicians, advanced practice providers, behavioral health staff, and operational leaders, this role helps create a supportive team environment that enables staff to perform at their best and advances the organization's mission, values, and strategic objectives.
Ensure all nursing practice complies, and clinical interventions align with established protocols, evidence-based practices, and regulatory standards, including those set by Joint Commission (JCAHO), the Nurse Practice Act and other relevant agencies applicable regulatory standards.
Monitor clinical quality indicators, patient safety events, medication management practices, infection prevention activities, restraint and seclusion compliance, and patient outcomes to identify trends and implement performance improvement initiatives, patient care outcomes and work with clinical leadership to implement continuous quality improvement initiatives across nursing and other clinical departments
