Job summary

Discovery Behavioral Health seeks a Nurse Administrator to supervise nursing activities and coordinate patient care. This full-time on-site role is based in Orange, CA, with day- to evening-coverage hours and on-call responsibilities to ensure continuous patient care.

The Nurse Administrator will lead nursing staff, develop training materials, perform MAR audits, and liaise with physicians and other leaders to maintain regulatory compliance and high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an approved nursing program with current licensure.
• In Eating Division, this position requires RN.
• Preferred: Experience as staff nurse in behavioral health/eating disorders.

Responsibilities

• Oversees nursing operations to uphold mission, vision, values and plan.
• Provides direct supervision and leadership to nursing staff.
• Develops training materials for nursing staff including training videos and materials.
• Performs MAR audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Reviews medication errors and provides educational opportunities to staff.
• Onboards new employees in the nursing department and ensures competencies.
• Covers shifts as needed to ensure nursing coverage.
• Responds to emergencies 24-7.
