Job summary

Florida Department of Health in Tallahassee seeks a Regulatory Specialist III to process licensure applications for CNA, LPN, RN, and APRN. You will compile and analyze data, draft board packets, and coordinate with multiple internal and external partners to ensure timely board review and completion of licensing actions.

The role requires in-office attendance five days a week, with travel to board meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to compile, organize and analyze data.
• Ability to investigate, analyze, and resolve complaints.
• Ability to understand and apply Florida Statutes, rules, policies and procedures for licensing and regulation of professionals and consumer protection.
• Ability to provide consultative assistance to others.
• Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work activities.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate complex applications containing criminal, health and/or discipline history for licensure.
• Correspond with applicants and notify deficiencies or statuses.
• Draft the Notice of Hearing with date, time and location.
• Maintain electronic licensure filing system and documentation.
• Serve as SME on History Team and train RSIII processors.
• Assist with training and other duties as assigned.
