Job summary

Jersey College in Florida is seeking a Nursing Instructor to provide high-quality classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN students. The role emphasizes student success, assessment, and professional development in a supportive learning environment.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN or higher, an active RN license, and at least 3 years of RN practice with clinical teaching experience. Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• BSN or higher nursing degree required.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the applicable state.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent professional RN experience.
• Clinical experience relevant to the nursing courses and clinical experiences being taught.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in a nursing specialty that contributes to student learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN nursing students, as assigned.
• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters students' academic growth and professional development.
• Deliver effective instruction appropriate to the educational level and needs of LPN/PN and RN students.
• Supervise students in the clinical environment and promote safe, professional nursing practice.
• Evaluate student performance and clinical competence based on program philosophy, objectives, policies, and established standards.
