Job summary

Rasmussen University seeks an accomplished Nursing Instructor (On-Site) in Fargo, ND. The role requires a Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing, active MN and ND RN licenses, CPR certification, and 1 year of RN experience with teaching experience preferred.

The instructor will teach 4.5–5.5 work units per quarter across modalities, while supporting student learning, curriculum development and assessment under the supervision of the Nursing Administrator.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing required.
• Active RN license in Minnesota and North Dakota that has never been encumbered.
• CPR certification (AHA or Red Cross).
• 1 year of RN clinical experience required; 2+ years preferred.
• Previous teaching/training experience preferred.
• Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work in a team with minimal supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation and leadership abilities.
• Proof of professional licenses/certifications and official transcripts required.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in multiple modalities while aligning with Rasmussen University's vision and mission.
• Teach 4.5–5.5 work units per quarter, equating to a full-time schedule.
• Employ effective teaching strategies and varied teaching techniques to promote learning.
• Engage students through activities, community-building and student-centered learning, including synchronous sessions.
• Ensure class objectives are clear, relevant and connected to course performance.
• Maintain organized classrooms and efficient use of time.
• Demonstrate mastery and the ability to relate to students.
• Contribute to curriculum development and assessment for own area of expertise.
• Attend events, programmatic meetings and committee work as designated by the Dean.
