Job summary

The Instructor will teach 4.5–5.5 work units per quarter and report to the Nursing Administrator, with responsibilities across classroom teaching, student engagement, and events as needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing required.
• Active Illinois RN license with no encumbrance.
• 2+ years of experience in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry/ICU; at least 1 year teaching experience preferred.
• American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• Active CPR certification by AHA or Red Cross.
• 1 year clinical RN experience required; 2+ years preferred.
• Teaching/training experience preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Proof of licenses, transcripts, and immunization documentation required.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in multiple modalities while upholding Rasmussen University’s vision and mission.
• Maintain a full-time schedule by teaching 4.5–5.5 work units per quarter.
• Engage students with diverse activities and live synchronous/asynchronous sessions.
• Develop and implement curriculum and assessments for their area of expertise.
• Provide student support and outreach in collaboration with the Dean and Nursing Administrator.
