Job summary

Rasmussen University in Romeoville, IL is seeking a Master’s or Doctorate prepared nurse to teach nursing courses on-site. The instructor will support student success, engage learners using multiple modalities, and help develop curriculum and assessments under the Nursing Administrator and Dean.

A strong teaching background and clinical experience are essential. The role is full-time, on-site with a focus on student outcomes, mentoring, and curriculum development.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing required and licensed in Illinois.
• Active Illinois RN license with no encumbrance.
• Minimum 2 years in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry/ICU, 1 year teaching preferred.
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• CPR certification by AHA or Red Cross.
• 1 year RN clinical experience required, 2+ years preferred.
• Teaching/training experience preferred.
• Strong communication, presentation, and leadership abilities.
• Provide licenses/certifications proofs and transcripts.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in multiple modalities, about 4.5-5.5 work units per quarter.
• Promote Rasmussen University vision and mission.
• Engage students with live classroom tools for synchronous learning.
• Develop curriculum and assessments for area of expertise.
• Collaborate with Dean and Nursing Administrator for student support.

Education

Master’s Degree in Nursing

Active Illinois RN license

2 years Medical-Surgical/Telemetry/ICU experience

1 year teaching experience

American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers

CPR certification by AHA or Red Cross

Professional licenses/certifications proof
