Job summary

Rasmussen University in Mankato, MN is seeking an experienced Nursing Instructor (On-Site) to guide nursing students toward their educational goals. A Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing is required, along with an active Minnesota RN license and CPR certification.

Teaching experience and strong communication skills are highly valued. Instructors teach 4.5–5.5 work units each quarter and participate in curriculum development, student mentoring, and program activities with the Dean and Nursing

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing required.
• Active Minnesota RN license.
• Active CPR certification (AHA or Red Cross).
• 1 year of clinical RN experience required, 2+ years preferred.
• Teaching/training experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation and leadership abilities.
• Proof of professional licenses/certifications and transcripts required.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in multiple modalities; typically 4.5–5.5 work units per quarter.
• Promote Rasmussen University's vision and mission.
• Create engaging learning environments and model effective teaching strategies.
• Develop and implement curriculum and assessment for area of expertise.
• Attend events, program meetings and committee work with the Dean.
