Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing is required.
• Active Florida RN license that has never been encumbered.
• Active CPR certification (AHA or Red Cross).
• 1 year clinical RN experience required; 2+ years preferred.
• Previous teaching/training experience preferred.
• Self-motivated, flexible and able to work in a team with minimal supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation and leadership abilities.
• Proof of professional licenses, official transcripts and immunization documentation required.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in various modalities while promoting Rasmussen University's vision and mission.
• Typically teach 4.5-5.5 work units per quarter, equating to full-time schedule.
• Use effective teaching strategies and multiple teaching techniques.
• Foster high student engagement through activities and live synchronous sessions.
• Clarify objectives and align class sessions with course performance.
• Maintain organized classrooms and efficient use of class time.
• Develop and implement curriculum and assessments for their area of expertise.
• Provide student support and outreach through synchronous or asynchronous communication and meetings.
• Attend events, program meetings, and committee work as designated by the Dean.
