Job summary

Iowa Western Community College is seeking a Nursing Instructor to deliver instruction across the nursing program, including classrooms, labs, clinical rotations, and simulations. The role involves curriculum development, student advising, recruitment, and assessment of learning outcomes.

The person will collaborate with the department, manage materials and budgets, maintain FERPA compliance, and promote quality education to guide students toward graduation while upholding IWCC values.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing or MSN in progress.
• At least 3 years of nursing experience.
• Work is routinely performed in classroom/lab/clinical environments.
• Strong research and project management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak to diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction in classroom, laboratory, clinical rotations, and simulation sessions.
• Develop and restructure curriculum as needed; participate in GELOs assessment and program improvement.
• Advise students academically and participate in recruitment activities.
• Coordinate materials, supplies, and budget management.
• Participate in college and department meetings and professsional growth activities.
• Maintain FERPA compliance and ADA accommodations as required.
