Job summary

Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs seeks an Adjunct Instructor- Health, BCE to teach, train, and prepare students across healthcare areas. You may help develop new certificate programs with area health partners and colleagues.

You will work to deliver lectures, labs, and clinical sessions, maintain records, and support program development while upholding state and college guidelines.

Qualifications

• Active Iowa RN license required.
• BSN preferred; two years RN experience required.
• Experience teaching preferred and Nurse Aide Trainer completion.
• Strong computer and multimedia skills.
• Ability to represent the College positively to students and the community.

Responsibilities

• Teach lectures, labs and clinicals in Council Bluffs and other Iowa Western Centers.
• Assist to create curriculum, outlines and student resources for new course development.
• Maintain course and testing records to comply with campus, state, and federal regulations.
• Coach students during evaluations with the Department of Human Services if needed.
• Mentor new instructors and promote course success.
