Job summary

Northwest Iowa Community College seeks a full-time Nursing Instructor for a 9-month contract with possible supplemental time. Responsibilities include face-to-face and online instruction, lab and clinical instruction, and ongoing curriculum development and program budgeting.

Required: Iowa RN licensure, BSN (MSN progress), two years clinical nursing, and basic computer skills. Preferred: MSN, college teaching experience, bilingual in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Iowa.
• BSN or applicable field; progress toward MSN.
• Two years of clinical nursing experience.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct effective instruction in all assigned areas, using approved course outlines.
• Develop and maintain current course syllabi/outlines for assigned courses.
• Notify the Director of Nursing Education or supervisor of any inability to meet a class.
• Measure and evaluate student progress and submit grade reports on time.
• Attend faculty and division meetings and participate in college committees.
