Job summary

Motlow State Community College invites applications for a Nursing Instructor (BSN Faculty) to deliver high-quality nursing instruction across multiple campuses. The role requires enrollment and completion of a Master of Nursing within three years.

The campus system spans several locations, with a generous benefits package and state employee discounts. The ideal candidate holds a nursing degree and an unencumbered Tennessee RN license, preferably with a Master’s degree and CCS teaching

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution in Nursing and an unencumbered Tennessee Registered Nursing License.
• Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in Nursing and an unencumbered Tennessee Registered Nursing License.
• Three years of Community College teaching experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Teach courses as assigned with the direct assistance of a mentor
• Travel to multiple campuses as assigned
• Advise and mentor students about academic and career goals with the direct assistance of a mentor
• Collaborate with faculty, curriculum chair, and academic leadership on curricular and programmatic issues
• Collaborate with faculty, administration and staff to support students and college operations
• Stay abreast of current developments in the teaching discipline
• Assist in keeping instructional resources current with mentor support
• Support curricular and co-curricular activities and participate in graduation exercises
• Teach a 15-hour load per semester (Fall and Spring); 8-hour load in summer
• Post and maintain office hours for advisement and meetings
• Submit paperwork timely
• Serve on college committees
• Perform duties per TBR and MSCC policies
• Other duties as assigned
