Job summary
Volunteer State Community College in Springfield Center seeks an Instructor of Nursing to deliver quality instruction across multiple formats, participate in evaluation of student learning, and contribute to program outcomes and accreditation efforts.
The position requires a Master of Science in Nursing (or BSN with MSN in progress), Tennessee RN licensure, CPR for healthcare, and collegiate teaching experience; teaching evenings and distance courses may be required.
Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing with 18 graduate semester hours or a BSN with active MSN enrollment
- Unencumbered RN licensure in the State of Tennessee and CPR certification for healthcare professionals
- Experience in nursing practice specialty and collegiate teaching preferred
Responsibilities
- Teach 15 semester credits per term and maintain in-person and virtual office hours
- Teach 28–32 semester credits across Fall and Spring; evenings, weekends, off-campus and distance courses as required
- Contribute to program and curriculum development and accreditation efforts
- Complete administrative duties, trainings, attendance and grade reporting
- Support recruitment and student services, mentor students, and participate in college service
