Job summary

SCA Health in Charlotte, NC seeks a Nursing Informatics Specialist to bridge clinical nursing and Clinical Information Systems within the PMC Regional Hospital setting. You will help plan, design, test, train, and implement clinical applications to optimize workflows.

The role emphasizes clinician advocacy in information systems, education of staff, and ensuring nursing data is reflected in system design, with opportunities to contribute to quality and compliance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Current licensure in this state.
• Strong communication skills for training and education of technology to the healthcare team.
• Demonstration of solid and effective written, interpersonal, oral and presentation skills.
• Ability to plan and facilitate meetings with diverse participants.
• Under general supervision, prioritize, organize, assess, and reallocate work to meet deadlines.
• Current BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist appropriate clinical resources in policy/procedure review to align with regulatory guidelines.
• Assist with activities to meet accreditation standards.
• Develop required reports for QAPI, Compliance, and regulatory data management.
• Collaborate on documentation templates for nursing practice.
• Coordinate and design evidence-based practice documentation.
• Maintain committee memberships to support ongoing system design and implementation.
• Ensure nursing data inclusion in planned information systems.
• Educate clinical staff and providers on information system applications.
• Assist staff with computer issues as needed.
• Serve as designated Superuser for the current EMR.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
