Job summary

SCA Health is seeking a Nursing Informatics Specialist to contribute to planning, design, build, testing, training, and implementation of clinical applications used by PMC Regional Hospital. You will champion clinician needs across the lifecycle of the information systems.

The role requires clinical nursing knowledge, strong communication, and ability to educate staff on information systems. This is an on-site position focused on improving workflows and patient care.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills for training and education of technology to the rest of the healthcare team.
• Demonstration of solid and effective written, interpersonal, oral and presentation skills.
• Under general supervision, must be able to prioritize, organize, assess, and reallocate work to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist appropriate clinical, ancillary and physician resources in the review and modification of policies and procedures to assure alignment with regulatory guidelines.
• Assists with program activities to meet accreditation standards.
• Facilitate or participate in the development of required reports needed for QA/QI and regulatory management of data in the clinical information systems.
• Collaborates in the development of documentation/templates for nursing practice.
• Maintains membership or consultation to committees to facilitate design and revision of clinical information systems.
• Ensures inclusion of nursing data in planned information systems.
