Job summary

Cass Health in Atlantic, IA seeks a Nurse Leader to serve as House Supervisor, providing clinical leadership and operational oversight for hospital nursing services during shifts. You will coordinate patient care, support staff, and collaborate with physicians to ensure safe, high-quality care across the organization.

The role requires strong communication, decisive leadership, and the ability to manage staffing and patient flow in emergencies while maintaining patient safety and service

Qualifications

• ADN required and RN license current or with reciprocal state license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, STABLE within 1 year of hire.
• Two to three years of acute care nursing; prior leadership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and operational oversight for hospital nursing services during shifts.
• Supervise RNs, LPNs, CNAs and other staff to ensure quality patient care.
• Coordinate staffing based on patient census and acuity; delegate patient care as appropriate.
• Mentor staff and serve as clinical resource for nursing staff.
• Communicate with physicians and department leaders to promote coordinated care.
