Job summary

Western Hills Retirement Village, a Caring Place Healthcare Group Facility, is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support clinical excellence and lead the nursing team. You will oversee daily nursing operations, supervise RNs/LPNs/CNAs, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive quality improvement while fostering a resident-centered, compassionate care environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current LPN or RN license in the State of Ohio.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and nursing practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily operations of the nursing department.
• Supervise and support nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, CMAs, and CNAs.
• Ensure compliance with all facility policies, procedures, and state and federal regulations.
• Support the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures.
• Monitor quality of care and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations of nursing staff.
• Provide clinical guidance and support to staff, including care planning and documentation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, resident-centered care.
• Promote a positive, supportive environment for residents, families, and staff.
• Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and HIPAA regulations.
