Job summary

Charter Senior Living is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) / Wellness Nurse to lead daily clinical operations and support the Director of Nursing. The role focuses on resident wellness, medication management, regulatory compliance, and staff mentoring in a compassionate, resident-centered environment.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on clinical leadership experience, be capable of mentoring caregivers, and maintain high standards of care in an assisted living setting.

Qualifications

• Active LPN/LVN or RN license in good standing.
• Minimum 1–2 years of nursing leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Assisted living, memory care, or long-term care experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of resident care, medication management, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with oversight of daily clinical operations and resident care services.
• Support resident assessments, care plans, and wellness monitoring.
• Assist with medication management and clinical documentation processes.
• Help supervise, mentor, and support caregiving and medication staff.
• Monitor resident condition changes and communicate appropriately with physicians and families.
• Support staffing, scheduling, onboarding, and training efforts.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations, company policies, and clinical standards.
• Assist with survey readiness and quality assurance initiatives.
• Promote resident dignity, safety, independence, and quality of life.
• Collaborate closely with the Executive Director and department leaders.
