Job summary

Onyx Health Consulting in Florida is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to oversee all HR functions within a long-term care facility. You will manage recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance with labor laws, and develop policies to support residents and staff.

The role requires 2+ years in HR and 2+ years in healthcare, preferably long-term care. You will collaborate with department heads, coordinate training, and ensure a positive, compliant work

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Human Resources.
• 2+ years of experience in Healthcare (Long Term Care Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Oversee HR policies, procedures, laws, standards and other government regulations.
• Respond to employee relations issues.
• Monitor the performance evaluation program.
• Communicate benefits information to employees.
• Interview, screen and recruit job applicants to fill openings.
• Conduct new hire orientations.
• Coach, counsel and guide managers before disciplinary actions.
• Participate in administrative staff meetings and other seminars.
• Audit employee personnel files and keep them current.
• Maintain relationship with union officials and terms of labor contracts.
• Process unemployment claims and attend hearings if needed.
• Maintain and coordinate employee recognition programs.
