Job summary

STGi is seeking a Nursing Home Administrator for a future opening, contingent on award. Requires 2+ years supervisory experience in a hospital or nursing facility and NC licensure or licensure requirements. Responsible for program development, budgeting, and ensuring resident care complies with state guidelines.

Role involves OSH, risk management, and agency reporting, with oversight of admissions, transfers, discharges and staff safety programs. Employment contingent on contract award.

Qualifications

• Must have, as a minimum, two (2) year(s) experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital or nursing facility.
• Must possess a current unencumbered nursing home administrator’s license or meet the licensure requirements of the State of North Carolina.
• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the facility’s programs and activities in accordance with guidelines issued by the State of North Carolina.
• Develop and manage annual operational and capital budgets.
• Ensure that each resident receives necessary care and services to attain and maintain the highest practical physical, mental and psychosocial well-being consistent with the resident’s comprehensive assessment and plan of care.
• Participate in facility-wide assessment to ensure resources are necessary to care for residents competently during both day-to-day operations and during emergencies.
• Provide the State of North Carolina with information relative to survey findings, plans of correction, monitoring guidelines, state reportable incidents and follow-up survey results.
• Periodically review the facility’s OSCAR and quality measures data posted on Nursing Home Compare website to determine accuracy of public information; report discrepancies to state agencies.

• Develop and manage budgets and ensure resources meet resident care needs.
• Provide oversight for admission, transfer and discharge of residents in compliance with requirements.
• Work with insurance, legal counsel and others to develop risk management programs.
• Ensure HR policies and programs comply with laws and regulations.
• Ensure trained licensed professionals and staff are on duty to meet resident needs.
• Develop and implement employee health and safety programs including OSHA regulations.
