The position offers flexible scheduling including Full-Time and Part-Time options, with shifts that cover weekdays and weekends. Collaboration with dietary staff and a focus on resident satisfaction are key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Food Handlers certificate or ServSafe certificate is required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing facility or medical facility.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and dietary guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and cook meals according to menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines.
• Coordinate meal preparation schedules and serving to ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor inventory and place orders to maintain stock and minimize waste.
• Follow standardized recipes and portion control for dietary restrictions.
• Ensure proper cooking, storage, and serving temperatures to maintain safety and quality.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas per health regulations.
• Assist with menu planning and recipe development with resident input.
• Collaborate with Dietary staff to coordinate meal service and resident satisfaction.
• Follow infection control procedures and safety regulations in food service.
• Participate in training to improve culinary skills and food safety knowledge.
