Job summary

Duke Health is seeking an Education Supervisor for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) to lead onboarding, orientation, and ongoing staff education. You will support adult learning, coordinate orientation for new hires, and help set educational standards to improve patient care.

Ideal candidates have nursing leadership experience, NC RN licensure, and strong collaboration with unit leadership. This on-site role requires Monday–Friday shifts with flexible hours as needed.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• MSN preferred.
• 3 years of nursing, clinical educator, or nursing instructor experience required.
• Current RN licensure in NC or compact state.
• BLS required; instructor certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages orientation for all new hires and transfers.
• Completes 30/60/90-day reviews and creates development plans.
• Coordinates learning opportunities and competency validation.
• Develops career pathways and conducts annual competency validation.
• Supports onboarding and ongoing educational needs for nursing staff.
