Duke Health is seeking an Education Supervisor to lead onboarding, orientation, and ongoing education for nursing staff in the Neuro Intensive Care Unit. Requires prior adult critical care or neurosciences experience, BSN; MSN preferred. Shifts are Monday–Friday with off-shift hours to support staff education and performance reviews.

Qualifications

• 3 years of nursing, clinical educator, or nursing instructor experience required.
• Prior clinical experience within adult critical care and/or neurosciences is necessary for this position.
• A Master's Degree in Nursing may be substituted for 2 years of required experience.

Responsibilities

• Manages onboarding, orientation, and ongoing education for nursing staff in assigned units.
• Coordinates preceptors, learning activities, and ensures competency validation.
• Develops education plans, annual competency validation processes, and staff development programs.
• Supports staff education with remediation, certification, mentoring, life support, and Joint Commission requirements.
• Coordinates education with unit leadership and maintains education documentation per hospital standards.
• Participates in personnel actions including hiring, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions.
