Job summary

Duke Health is seeking an Education Supervisor to lead onboarding, orientation, and ongoing educational needs of nursing staff within assigned units. The role focuses on fostering professional development, enhancing clinical knowledge, and promoting career growth in a fast-paced environment.

Based in the Neuro Intensive Care Unit, the position reports to the DUHS Director and coordinates education, competency validation, and documentation to meet regulatory and hospital standards.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• MSN preferred.
• 3 years of nursing, clinical educator, or nursing instructor experience required.
• Prior clinical experience within adult critical care and/or neurosciences is necessary.
• Master's Degree in Nursing may substitute for 2 years of required experience.

Responsibilities

• Manages orientation for all new hires and transfers.
• Coordinates preceptors, learning activities, and ensures competency validation.
• Develops and implements annual competency validation processes.
• Creates development plans and career pathways for staff.
• Coordinates education with the assigned clinical area leadership and maintains documentation.
