Job summary

MarylandConnect is seeking a Nursing Education Retention Coordinator and Data Analysis Interventionalist (Grant Funded - Contingent II) to drive data-driven strategies for improving nursing program completion rates. You will develop dashboards, support Title III initiatives, and partner with faculty and advisors to boost student success.

The role requires collaboration with department leadership, regular student outreach, and ongoing assessment for accreditation purposes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred in nursing, social, behavioral, or health sciences related to the Title III program.
• Experience with retention initiatives and strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and statistical software.

Responsibilities

• Gather, evaluate, and display data from student program assessments to track results (SLOs, completion rates, licensure exam, employment).
• Partner with the Department of Nursing to manage Title III Activity Future Act initiatives.
• Design dashboards, generate reports, and build data visualizations for faculty, administrators, and stakeholders.
• Hold regular meetings with pre-nursing and nursing students to offer non-academic assistance and refer them to campus resources.
• Work with Nursing faculty and academic advisors to coordinate academic and non-academic support aligned with Title III retention goals.
• Help faculty pinpoint gaps in student performance using mid-term and final course data and take prompt action.
• Lead workshops to improve student preparedness and workload management.
• Aid in assessment and accreditation by analyzing and reporting nursing program achievements.
• Collaborate with Title III Activity Director and other institutional departments to align initiatives with university objectives.
