Job summary

Bowie State University seeks a Nursing Education Retention Coordinator and Data Analysis Interventionalist (Grant Funded - Contingent II) to collect and analyze data for the Nursing program, develop dashboards, and support Title III activities.

The role partners with Nursing faculty to implement data-driven retention strategies, supports accreditation efforts, and conducts workshops to improve student success and program completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred in nursing, social, behavioral, or health sciences.
• Experience with retention initiatives, data analytics, and reporting.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and statistical software.

Responsibilities

• Gather, evaluate, and display data from student program assessments to track outcomes in the Nursing program.
• Design dashboards, generate reports, and build data visualizations for faculty and administrators.
• Partner with the Department of Nursing to manage Title III Activity Future Act initiatives.
• Hold regular meetings with pre-nursing and nursing students to offer non-academic support.
• Coordinate academic and non-academic support with Title III retention goals with faculty and advisors.
• Help faculty pinpoint gaps in student performance using mid-term and final course data.
• Lead workshops to improve student preparedness and workload management.
• Aid in assessment and accreditation efforts by analyzing and reporting data.
• Collaborate with Title III Activity Director and other departments to align with university objectives.
• Undertake other assignments as directed by the Activity Director.
