Job summary

State of Georgia seeks a Director for the Practical Nursing program to oversee the nursing unit across SCTC campuses, handling instructional and administrative duties with release time for leadership tasks.

The role requires a Master’s in Nursing, an RN license, and 3–5 years of RN experience, plus teaching in higher education in the last seven years and supervisory experience. A collaborative, policy-driven leader is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Unencumbered RN license.
• 3–5 years’ nursing experience.
• Experience teaching in higher education within past seven years.
• Supervisory experience in education/industry.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize the nursing unit to meet college objectives.
• Balance teaching and administrative duties.
• Evaluate performance of faculty and staff in the nursing unit.
• Develop program supplies and equipment lists for AVP approval.
• Prepare accreditation/state licensing documentation and reports.
• Assist in budgeting and instructional program specifications.
