Job summary

Georgia State Government seeks an Adjunct Practical Nursing Instructor to deliver lab and clinical instruction for the Practical Nursing program in the Statesboro region.

The instructor will supervise students in clinical settings, evaluate progress, and help develop course goals and objectives. A current Georgia RN license and 3+ years of relevant nursing experience are required; teaching experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current RN license in good standing with the Georgia State Board of Nursing.
• Minimum of three years of full-time paid work experience in relevant nursing areas ( Medical/Surgical, Obstetrical, Pediatric, etc.).
• Eligible for direct teaching in a postsecondary nursing program or equivalent teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide lab and clinical instruction for the Practical Nursing program.
• Supervise students in clinical settings (hospitals and physicians’ offices) in the Statesboro area.
• Develop program and syllabi, establish goals and objectives, evaluate student progress and competencies.
