Job summary

The State of Georgia invites applications for the role of Director, Practical Nursing Program. This leadership position oversees the nursing program at a technical college, guiding curriculum, faculty, and accreditation efforts.

A Master’s in Nursing and an unencumbered RN license are required, with 3–5 years of clinical RN experience and teaching in higher education; prior supervisory experience is preferred. Compensation ranges from $65,000 to $80,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Unencumbered RN licensure and active practice eligibility.
• 3–5 years' experience as a registered nurse.
• Experience teaching in higher education within the past seven years.
• Experience in supervisory roles in education and industry.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize the unit's work to meet college objectives.
• Fulfill teaching and non‑teaching activities as required.
• Evaluate performance of full‑ and part‑time faculty and staff.
• Coordinate supplies and equipment list; obtain AVP review.
• Prepare documentation for accreditation and licensing management.
• Assist in program specifications and budget development.
• Represent the department at internal and external meetings.
• Develop educational plans for all campus locations.
• Address student, faculty, staff, and external customer needs.
• Promote programs to public and private organizations.
• Lead committees and special projects as assigned.
