Job summary

Chamberlain University’s Houston campus is seeking a passionate and experienced Nursing Leader to join our Evening & Weekend Program as an Associate Dean of Academic Affairs. This role is ideal for a nurse educator who thrives in a dynamic teaching environment and is committed to shaping the next generation of nurses.

The Associate Dean of Academic Affairs manages day-to-day academic operations and directly supervises assigned faculty.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing required; doctoral degree preferred.
• Unencumbered professional nursing licensure required.
• 2+ years of nursing education at bachelor level or above.
• 2+ years in simulation/clinical experience development/participation.
• 2+ years of leadership experience.
• Budget planning, resource management and change leadership experience.
• Strategic thinking with ability to interpret policy and drive initiatives.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Implements academic strategy under the Dean's direction and manages faculty schedules and performance.
• Lead curriculum delivery standards for assigned courses/sections and analyze student success data.
• Recruit, onboard and retain qualified faculty to ensure program excellence.
• Oversee budget planning and collaboration with leadership on budget matters.
• Ensure accreditation standards are met and continuous improvement is pursued.
• Coordinate clinical placements and collaborate on academic initiatives.
• Serve as liaison to boards and internal stakeholders with professionalism.
• Support program expansion and new academic initiatives with agility and vision.
