Intermountain Health McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, UT seeks an onsite Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner. The role guides caregiver learning, orientations, and ongoing education while collaborating across care areas to implement evidence-based practices.

Travel to locations may be required to fulfill responsibilities and ensure high-quality nursing education. Ideal candidates hold a BSN, RN license, and BLS, with experience in adult or staff development and nursing practice.

Qualifications

BSN from an accredited institution (verification required).
Current RN license in the state of practice.
BLS certification for healthcare providers.
Demonstrated experience in adult or staff development.
Demonstrated nursing experience.

Responsibilities

Learning Facilitator: mentor caregivers and preceptors, promote self-reliance and teamwork, guide orientation, support ongoing learning, apply edu design.
Change Agent: collaborate to identify learning goals, ensure adoption of evidence-based practices, facilitate orientation and ongoing education.
Mentor: provide coaching to preceptors and caregivers for learning and growth.
Leader: facilitate interprofessional learning and advancements in nursing practice.
Champion for Inquiry: foster new knowledge and evidence to improve patient care.
Advocate for NPD: promote value and integration of NPD in the organization.
Partner for Practice Transition: support smooth transitions and adaptation to changes.
