Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Education Manager to design, deliver, and evaluate education across the continuum of care. This leadership role aligns learning with evidence-based practice, regulatory standards, and system priorities to improve patient outcomes.

The position supports onboarding, competency management, and ongoing professional development using adult learning principles and innovative modalities, with onsite work at The Miriam Hospital

Qualifications

• Expertise in adult learning, curriculum design, and evaluation
• Proficiency with EBP, research utilization, and outcomes measurement
• Strong collaboration, communication, and change-management skills
• Comfort with learning technologies/LMS and data-informed decision making

Responsibilities

• Evaluates learning needs and provides just-in-time education to address gaps.
• Develops and delivers tailored education programs with system leaders.
• Plans, implements, and evaluates onboarding and competency assessments.
• Provides individualized coaching and builds preceptor capacity.
• Promotes evidence-based practice and measures impact on outcomes.
• Supports quality assessment and system initiatives for education.
• Serves as a change agent to adopt new practices and workflows.
• Strengthens interprofessional relationships to implement education components.
• Tracks and reports outcomes for accreditation readiness and leadership decisions.
• Maintains records of competencies, attendance, evaluations, and outcomes.
• Interviews for new hires/transfers and mentors clinical teams.
