Job summary

Chamberlain University in Irving, TX seeks an experienced nursing educator to teach across classroom, online, and clinical settings, providing engaging learning experiences and mentoring students and faculty.

You will lead clinical learning, align curriculum with regulatory requirements, and contribute to scholarly teaching activities while maintaining current clinical credentials and staying updated with policy changes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing required; PhD preferred.
• Current, unencumbered Texas nursing license or eligibility to obtain.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a clinical setting.
• Excellent communication skills and strong initiative and prudent judgment.
• Technological expertise with LMS, simulation equipment, and online platforms; AI experience a plus.
• Ability to create engaging learning environments and manage conflicts.
• Collaborating across faculty, Extended Service Team, and clinical partners.
• Emotional and social intelligence to support an inclusive learning environment.
• Maintain compliance with state licensure and faculty requirements, with state-specific addenda as needed.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned nursing courses in classroom, online, clinical, lab, or simulation—creating engaging learning experiences.
• Develop and implement course curriculum and teaching materials.
• Evaluate student performance and provide feedback/remediation as needed.
• Lead clinical learning (clinicals, labs, simulation) and ensure students are practice-ready.
• Contribute to university service functions (committees, graduation, program evaluation).
• Provide guidance and support to students and new faculty.
• Engage in scholarly activities related to teaching and nursing practice.
• Maintain ongoing professional development and stay current with policies.
• Ensure compliance with exams, attendance, and other student-related policies.
