Job summary

Arizona College of Nursing is seeking Core Nursing Faculty to provide instruction, engage in scholarly and service activities, and support student success across didactic and clinical settings.

Faculty will develop and revise curricula, lead simulation in the Nursing Lab, and mentor colleagues and students while maintaining FERPA-compliant records and participating in governance and events.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree required; if degree is not in nursing, must have a Bachelor's in nursing and a related graduate degree from an accredited program.
• A minimum of three (3) years’ work experience as a professional registered nurse providing direct patient care.
• Holds a current unencumbered state professional registered nurse license or enhanced compact nurse licensure relevant to the teaching location.
• Certified Nurse Educator certification and national certification in area of nursing specialty is preferred.
• Maintains professional competence through ongoing education, practice, conferences, and writing.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, teaches, and evaluates the nursing education program’s philosophy and objectives.
• Designs, implements, teaches, evaluates, and revises the curriculum.
• Leads simulation learning experiences in the Nursing Lab.
• Responsible for teaching and evaluating students in the classroom; teach at least 36 credits annually.
• Mentors faculty, adjuncts, and students; participates in curriculum design and program revision.
• Maintains records on student performance and provides timely feedback.
• Protects student privacy via FERPA training and guidelines.
• Participates in faculty meetings and nursing events; supports campus culture.
