Job summary

Arizona College of Nursing invites applications for a Core Nursing Faculty position. Faculty will develop and deliver didactic and clinical instruction, oversee simulations, and participate in program evaluation and governance. A strong nursing background and commitment to student success are essential.

The role emphasizes curriculum design, mentorship, and maintaining FERPA compliance while contributing to campus culture and student success.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree required (Master's or higher); if the graduate degree is not in nursing, must have a Bachelor’s degree in nursing and a graduate degree in a related discipline.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a professional registered nurse providing direct patient care.
• Previous teaching experience in a registered nursing program is preferred.
• Holds a current unencumbered state professional registered nurse license or enhanced compact licensure relevant to the teaching location.
• Certified Nurse Educator certification and national certification in nursing specialty are preferred.
• Maintain professional competence through activities such as nursing practice, continuing education programs, conferences, workshops, seminars, academic courses, research projects and professional writing.
• Subject to state BON/BRN regulation where the student is located.

Responsibilities

• Develops, teaches, and evaluates the curriculum for the nursing education program.
• Designs, implements, teaches, evaluates, and revises the curriculum.
• Documents actions in faculty and committee meetings for total program review.
• Leads simulation learning experiences in the Nursing Lab.
• Teach at least 36 credits annually in didactic settings.
• Create effective learning environments addressing contemporary nursing issues.
• Mentor faculty, adjuncts, and students; pursue ongoing professional development.
• Advise core nursing students and monitor their progress annually.
