Job summary

Xavier University’s College of Nursing seeks experienced, innovative, and motivated full-time, non-tenure-track faculty to teach in graduate nursing programs beginning Spring 2027. The CN offers BSN, MIDAS, online MSN, FNP, PMHNO, AGPCNP, and DNP programs with online and in-person teaching as needed.

The position is 12-month with fall, spring, and summer teaching loads; 9-month possible but 12-month preferred. Expertise in DNP, CNL, and MSN core areas is desirable.

Qualifications

• Current and unencumbered RN license in Ohio or eligible for licensure in Ohio.
• Doctoral degree in nursing or a related field is required.
• At least 2 years of clinical nursing experience in a specialty area.
• At least 2 years of teaching experience in an accredited program in a content specialization is preferred.
• Teaching in adult and graduate programs and online instruction is desired.
• Knowledge of curriculum development, teaching methods, and evaluation is desired.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Teach in one or more graduate nursing programs (online and in-person) as needed.
• Contribute to curriculum development, development and evaluation of course content, clinical experiences, tests, and assessments.
• Establish coordinating relationships with co-workers and clinical agencies; participate in scholarly work and professional development.
• Provide student academic advising and guidance; participate in faculty governance and university committees.
