Qualifications

• BSN and RN licensure required.
• Two years of recent nursing experience with demonstrated clinical expertise.
• Knowledge of education methodology (needs assessment, curriculum development, instructional design, adult learning).
• Demonstrated presentation skills.
• Experience in Emergency Department education is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and evaluate orientation and ongoing professional development for nurses in the Emergency Department at Weston Hospital.
• Design, direct, implement and evaluate educational offerings based on staff needs and learning levels.
• Identify learning needs and desired competencies of nursing personnel.
• Develop and maintain evaluation systems to determine the effectiveness of educational activities.
• Consult with Nursing Institute and Ambulatory Nursing to advance professional nursing practice.
