Job summary

AdventHealth in the United States is seeking a Nursing Professional Development (NPD) practitioner to lead clinical inquiry initiatives and support evidence-based practice. This role designs, plans, and coordinates onboarding for nurses using ANPD standards, ensuring competency and ongoing professional development across units.

The position requires RN licensure with a focus on nursing professional development, strong facilitation skills, and knowledge of CMS/OSHA standards.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of word processing, data management, email, and presentation applications.
  • Effective professional communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of the ANA/ANPD scope and standards for Nursing Professional Development.
  • Self-directed, creative, and demonstrates initiative to fulfill the seven roles of the NPD practitioner.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards (CMS, OSHA) for professional specialty served.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a resource for clinical inquiry process and identify potential projects.
  • Support research, evidence-based practice, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate to create and assist in onboarding orientation using ANPD standards.
  • Plan, implement, and coordinate orientation for new graduates, experienced nurses, and ancillary staff.
  • Engage learners with planned educational activities and effective facilitation, adjusting as needed.
