Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner to advance education, competency, and professional growth for Hartford HealthCare colleagues. This role partners with nursing leadership to drive onboarding, orientation, and clinical education across the system.

Qualifications

• BSN required and enrolled in a Master’s program with degree completion within two years of hire date.
• Minimum of 3 years of active clinical nursing experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in an acute care environment.
• One year of relevant teaching experience preferred, nursing professional development and/or specialty area preferred.
• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in CT prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Influence professional role competence and growth of learners.
• Support learners within Nursing Professional Development and LEAN/quality improvement frameworks.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to foster competency management and onboarding.
• Promote and align regional NPD with Hartford HealthCare goals.
