Job summary

Banner Estrella Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Associate Director of Nursing to lead daily operations of the Medical Surgical unit. You will oversee clinical care quality, budget responsibilities, and staff development while driving change and ensuring safe, patient-centered care.

This role requires a BSN or MSN and current RN license with strong clinical management experience. An on-call rotation is included in a day-shift schedule, with opportunities to influence patient outcomes

Qualifications

• RN license in state of practice is required.
• Strong knowledge of clinical care management.
• Two years of clinical management experience in relevant patient population.

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient-centered nursing care for designated populations on assigned units.
• Lead and evaluate quality and process improvement initiatives with director input.
• Communicate system, regional, facility, and department initiatives effectively.
• Manage operational and capital budgets and resources.
• Develop staff leadership through shared leadership models and coaching.
• Handle recruitment, onboarding, retention and performance evaluations.
• Manage large units and mentor entry-level nurse managers in clinical improvement.
