Job summary

Banner University Medical Center Phoenix is seeking an Associate Director RN Intraop to lead the operating room, develop departmental leaders, and drive staffing, budgets and care standards to support patient safety and efficient care.

BSN or MSN is required, active RN license, BLS, and at least two years of clinical management experience; a Master’s is preferred. This full‑time role offers a $15,000 sign-on bonus and opportunities to shape surgical services across the Banner Health system.

Qualifications

• BSN or MSN required for all new hires; BSN required for internal transfers/promotions within 6 months.
• Current RN license in state of practice and BLS certification.
• Two years of clinical management experience in a relevant patient population.
• Master's degree in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages and facilitates patient-centered nursing care for designated units and leaders staff and physicians for escalated issues.
• Leads change by implementing quality and process improvements and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Oversees system and department initiatives communication across teams.
• Manages operating budgets and resource utilization for efficiency.
• Develops staff leadership through coaching, evaluations, and career development.
• Oversees staff recruitment, onboarding, retention, and performance management.
