Banner Health is seeking an Associate Director to lead a high-performing Progressive Care Unit team at Banner Thunderbird in Glendale, AZ. You will guide clinical and operational excellence, drive quality initiatives, and partner with leaders to deliver exceptional patient care in a challenging 40-bed PCU environment.

The role requires strong management and clinical expertise, with responsibilities across staffing, budgets, and strategic improvement.

Qualifications

• BSN or MSN required for all new hires. BSN required for internal transfers/promotions within 6 months of transfer/promotion.
• Requires RN license in state of practice and BLS certification.
• Two years of clinical management experience in the relevant patient population.

Responsabilités

• Manages and leads patient-centered nursing care for designated populations; provides real-time clinical guidance to staff and physicians.
• Leads quality and process improvement initiatives; ensures regulatory compliance and changes are implemented.
• Facilitates communication of system, regional, facility and department initiatives across teams.
• Manages operational and capital budgets and resource use.
• Develops staff leadership and succession through shared leadership models and coaching.
• Oversees staffing, orientation, onboarding, and retention to foster learning and performance.
• Leads large units or multiple clinical units to ensure excellent patient care and supports frontline leaders.
